Jersey City: The "Sixth Borough of New York ?"

The shadow of the Empire State Building extends westward in the morning sky across the Hudson River. Underneath this shadow lies the city of Jersey City. Jersey City's history is closely entwined with that of New York City. Both were originally settled by the Dutch before the arrival of the British in 1664-1665.
